Remote Holiday Home Upgrade:
Reliable Power from Anywhere in the World

When increased shading caused a remote holiday home’s power system to fail, we were called in to deliver a smarter, more reliable solution. Recommended by trusted local contractors, we redesigned and relocated the entire setup, adding lithium storage, repositioning the solar array, and enabling full remote monitoring.

The Challenge

The existing power system at this remote property had become unreliable, frequently failing due to increased shading from tree growth. The solar array was no longer effective, and the owners had to rely heavily on a generator, which was not ideal for an overseas-managed home. We were brought in based on strong recommendations from local electrical and building contractors familiar with our work.

Our Solution

We completely redesigned and relocated the system to meet the needs of both the property and its remote owners.

New System Configuration:

2.4 kW solar array repositioned for optimal sunlight exposure
15 kWh of managed lithium battery storage
3 kW inverter integrated with the existing generator
Full relocation of the power system infrastructure closer to the main dwelling

Tailored to the Site:

Equipment was barged in due to limited site access
Lithium batteries selected for performance and compact footprint
Remote monitoring was installed, enabling owners to check in from anywhere
Pumping capacity included to ensure the property remains functional on arrival

The Outcome

The system now performs reliably, even with the owners on the other side of the world.
